Overview

This is a leadership role and as such we would expect you to help set and implement the vision and strategy for operations. You will form part of the Global Operations team.

 

In this role you will have overall responsibility for making Hall & Partners UK consumer operations as effective as possible; this includes both Consumer Qualitative and Quantitative operations. This covers the company best practices, processes and standards, managing suppliers and the project management team in terms of delivery, quality and cost effectiveness, and supporting new products, platforms and tools as they are developed.

 

You will report to the Global Operations Director and work in close partnership with the other leaders of the UK consumer business as well as the Operations Director US.

 

The role will give you broad exposure and visibility within the company and will require you to have ongoing contacts with all research and operations staff.

Responsibilities

You will have overall responsibility for Hall & Partners UK consumer operations; managing our operational structure, systems, processes and operations team and seeking ways to drive through efficiencies and cost savings through the business.

 

You will mentor the operation team to have a ‘can do’ and take responsibility attitude. You will also develop the team to be well positioned to deliver UK Consumers strategy.

 

Key parts of the role include:

  • Improving effectiveness and best practice of operations.
  • Managing and developing supplier relationships.
  • Being responsible for managing the H&P field offering.
  • Improving the quality of our research processes and gaining accreditation with statutory bodies (Global ISO).
  • Supporting the Global operations teams for new product development, innovation and visualization.
  • Overall management of the Operations team.
  • Work very closely with the UK research teams to define and implement the changing role of the Operations team.
  • Play a leading role in supporting the research teams to win big pitches.

 

Qualifications

  • Must have leadership experience working in market research operations/project management functions either on agency or vendor side
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time; excellent organization, attention to detail and project/time management skills
  • Confident, enthusiastic and highly motivated
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written - a communicator who has real gravitas and charisma with clients and people
  • Good presentation and negotiation skills
  • Solid understanding of research and analytics and how to apply them
  • A friendly, positive, professional attitude; able to work independently with strong leadership skills and across multiple teams
  • A fast learner, attention to detail
  • Commercially astute, able to create and manage budgets
  • Has a presence around the office; looks for ways to interact with other teams and departments within Hall & Partners
