Overview

The role of a Quantitative Project Manager is to oversee the set up and management of quantitative research projects to ensure successful completion within H&P Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and to drive even more efficiency and profitability of projects.

 

This will require working closely with the research team, clients, field partners, Data Management Centres and other external suppliers/partners. This role will be reporting into a Project Director, however you would also have a dotted line into the research team you are embedded within.  You will be expected to contribute to the company’s operations processes by providing proactive ideas and plans about improving the efficiency of the project management function, and by supporting operational initiatives.

 

The role will give you broad exposure and visibility within the company and will require you to build strong relationships with all research and administrative staff to ensure the success of the initiatives you manage.  Client contact is also part of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and manage projects spanning from ad-hoc to tracking studies across a range of methodologies
  • Act as an expert to support researchers and other project management team members for methodology, sampling and supplier selection in markets
  • Provide full costs and timings for new business proposals or existing projects.  Contribute to the proposal process as required
  • Manage suppliers to set up and establish projects on the ASKIA survey platform
  • Drive adherence to H&P Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) within the research teams as well as suppliers and operations
  • Maintain and update databases of recommended field partners and contribute to managing suppliers’ best practice
  • Provide expertise and proactive guidance as to how to be as operationally efficient as possible
  • Make a positive contribution to project and team profitability
  • Mentor, develop and train more junior members of staff in the research teams
  • Drive the use of the H&P intranet and CRM system as means of increasing efficiency on projects

Qualifications

  • Solid experience in project management in a market research environment, including field set up and management, questionnaire design and changes management, schedule management, data processing and charting automation
  • Experience of costing projects is an advantage but not a pre-requisite for the role
  • Familiar with multiple types of studies, including continuous tracking, pre testing, segmentation, creative development
  • Experience working with a range of methodologies, particularly online. Experience with face to face and telephone would be an advantage
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while sticking to deadlines and achieving high quality of output
  • Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and time management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to champion methodological choices with clients and teams and identify potential pitfalls in clients’ briefs/requests
  • Previous experience implementing best practice processes within an organisation is an advantage
  • Comfortable with managing fieldwork and Data Management Centre suppliers.
  • Ability to liaise professionally with clients, including taking a key role in status meetings, updating the client on fieldwork, timelines, deliverables, etc.
  • Has a presence in the office; looks for ways to interact with other teams and departments within H&P.
