Job Title: Reporting Accountant
Location: Central London
Key aspects of the role are to lead the company's financial accounting, reporting and control activities and to ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with best practice. The Reporting Accountant will be responsible for management of the Reporting Team, making sure financial information is prepared on a timely basis, and ensuring its integrity and accuracy at all times. The role will report to the UK Finance Director.
Core skills & responsibilities:
Leading, training and developing the Reporting Team
Working alongside the Commercial Team to ensure all processes flow through the team in a timely manner
Review of all DAS/Omnicom monthly reporting ensuring it's accuracy and meeting deadlines
Lead Working Capital submissions and follow ups with DAS
Daily cash flow updates, advising FD of when excess foreign currencies may need to be sold, and mitigating fluctuations as reasonably possible
Weekly review of Aged Debtors advising FD of any problematic collections as soon as they become visible
Uploading and validating forecasts to HFM, as well as reviewing submissions to identify any anomalies
Responsible for keeping on top of credit risk insurance and being the senior point of contact with Omnicom Brokers and Omnicom
Leading all Sarbanes Oxley audits, as well as external and internal audits.
Understanding the full financial control environment and ensuring that control processes are in place to mitigate all risks.
Vat reconciliations and submissions, as well as dealing with associated queries
Tax preparation - ITDC, Corporation Tax, Schedule 22 completion on HFM
Annual preparation of PAYE Settlement Agreement returns
Review of People forecasting each month ensuring that it is accurate and reflects all updates
Preparation of annual Financial Statements with detailed supporting documentation
Business partnering with the client facing research teams assisting to drive the commercial agenda of the business
Overseeing and continually improving the Reporting Team function, capabilities and skills
Lead Treasury management, including e-cash and all bank accounts
Providing support to the FD with regards to reviewing the payroll and any associated tax issues or reconciliations
Ad hoc reporting at the request of the UK FD and / or Global CFO.

Must have good communication skills and confident working with non-finance staff

Qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA
Must have proven experience of leading a team within an organisation
Must have a good understanding of IFRS, UK GAAP and FRS102
Must have a good understanding and proven experience of producing Financial Statements
Must have proven experience in UK corporate tax reporting
Must have proven experience in Sarbanes Oxley
Must have experience in audit
Must be articulate and numerate
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Paprika/Cognos IBM/HFM experience preferred but not essential
